Broner and Horn are mentioned in the same breath and compared because they both suck, albeit for different reasons. Broner is a talented fighter who lacks focus, while Horn is a focused fighter who lacks talent.

Broner is more skilled on paper, but his skills dont translate to real world performance. He hasnt beaten anyone good in years. I would pick him to lose vs Horn, and he will be an easier fight for pacquaio. He tries to be a defensive counter puncher but his defense is leaky, then he folds up when pressured and doesnt throw. Little mikey garcia could make him freeze up. Horn has more heart, he will keep coming and blocks punches with his face, break all the rules ect to try to win.

To be honest those type of fights are hard for older fighter who dont have their legs like they used to. I mean, Floyd and MAnny both fought better fighter than Horn and Maidana but both struggled with them even though they both won their fight.

The first Maidana fight was weird, one of two things happened:

1. floyd chosed to not move to make a more exciting fight, he was with roger at the time I think, who always pushed him to be more aggressive vs senior

2. Floyd underestimated maidana and came in a bit less conditioned than he should be. obviously hes never blown up between fights, but he wasnt moving around

The rematch he used a lot more movement from round one. And when he was younger, baldomir is a good example of him vs a larger pressure fighter, he completely took him to school using his legs.

He has more talent but is soft and little more than a gate keeper

Horn is garbage to watch. No technique. Broner is going to be a far more interesting fight. The drama and build-up alone will be huge. Seeing Pac beat up on Broner is one of those feel-good boxing experiences.
