I think Floyd is looking at the risk / reward. Like the original poster said, if Floyd lost to Tony, it would discredit everything that he's accomplished so far. However is Floyd won against Tony, even if he won bad, the Tony win all of a sudden becomes a bad win against "a big, slow, telegraphic punching, overrated bum." Who had no big wins on his rusume anyway... Honestly Floyd has absolutely nothing to gain by taking this fight, and a lot to lose.

What fighter could he fight that would not give this kind of outcome?

And I garuntee Floyd isn't going to fight Baldomir if he wins. He's probably going to go for the Mosely vs Vargas winner, which will again be Shane. So you can probably look for Mayweather vs Mosely at 154 in November.

I'm a real boxing fan, & I'd like to see PBF/DLH or Winky, but I would like him not to risk a fight with Winky until after DLH, I'd love to see him fight Margarito, but at 147 not at 154.
