Comments Thread For: Murata Admits: Brant Made Me Feel My Skills Are Limited

Ryota Murata has no excuses in his failed defense of the WBA "regular" middleweight world title on Saturday. He suffered what many saw as a one-sided defeat to mandatory challenger Rob Brant of the United States at Park Theater in Las Vegas. The scores were 118-110, 119-109 and 119-109.

Kind of happy he lost because he doesn't have to take the beating Golovkin would have given him. Arum should be sued for trying to make that happen, there's no way Murata is ready for guys like Golovkin, Canelo etc.

The only other fighter I ever saw smiling so much while hit hard was Razor Ruddock against Tyson.

Can you believe there were a few posters here saying this guy was a level above Charlo? Lol He would've been put to sleep early against that type of fighter.

              Classy guy.

Not often a fighter admits inferiority. Not just on the night but overall.

Brant didn’t look too special against Braehmer but it goes to show that despite being lightly regarded quite often 168 pounders are just enormous.

Canelo is taking on a pretty soft touch in Rocky but even that might have a bearing on a fight. If Rocky can stay up right though 12

Murata should learn how to fight away from his country.

I hope Inoue has taken a cue from Murata.
