Not only that, he gave Mayweather a tougher boxing fight than Canelo, even admitted to by Floyd. Conor actually won more rounds than Canelo against Floyd.

While that may be true, you need to look at the context. Floyd fought squared up and right in front of Conor the whole fight. He fought Conors fight because he wanted to and it was his strategy. He carried Connor. He barely threw any punches for the first 3 rounds. He knew Conor wouldn’t have the lungs for a 12 rd fight, so that was his strategy. Make the fight go late, stand in front of him to encourage Conor to throw, and let Conor gas out.

That's all true, but it shows that Floyd respected Conor's stand up enough to do that rather than just maul him. If Conor was that terrible, Floyd shouldn't even have to have a strategy of waiting for him to burn himself out, he should be able to just run him over from round 1 like he did to Angel Manfredy.

If Floyd was younger, he probably could do that. I think he could’ve ended it much earlier than he did. He wanted fans to get their money’s worth by dragging out the fight and giving Conor some rounds to make it interesting. At the time, I thought Conor did very well, but after hearing what Floyd said in the post fight conference and giving it some thought, I came to the conclusion that it was Floyd’s strategy to fight Conor’s fight.

I still think Conor did a very good job though for his first time boxing. I just think that some gave him too much credit.
