What is there to talk about? Until you agree on money, there's very little to discuss. How can they agree on money without knowing how well Wilder's PPV does?

Whether Wilder sells 200k PPV, 600k PPV, or somewhere in between, totally changes his value.

Surely they have an idea of how the fight will do?

Fighters don't get minimum guarantees if there aren't ballpark projections.

Or are you admitting Wilder is taking a huge gamble?

I thought Haymon was supposed to be a genius businessman, who can guarantee $50m paydays and has put on the biggest fights in the world? And you're telling me he has no idea how much Wilder will generate in his next fight?

They're expecting between 300k and 400k buys, but it's very tough to predict because neither fighter has been on PPV before.

So Hearn is just going to take Haymon's word for it and agree to a split for AJ/Wilder that is based on Wilder's PPV being a success before anybody knows if Wilder can live up to Showtime's expectations?
