Comments Thread For: Hughie Fury: I Look Forward To Getting There & Doing The Job

Hughie Fury has revealed he has pushed his body harder for longer than at any point in his life ahead of facing Kubrat Pulev for a shot at the IBF world heavyweight title. The 24-year-old (21-1-KO11) travels to the Bulgarian capital of Sofia to take on the experienced Pulev (25-1-KO13) with a chance to take on IBF world champion Anthony Joshua a tantalising reward for the winner.

Let's all hope Pulev does the job on you. No one should ever watch this less talented Fury "fighting".

Hughie is a boxing purist. A defensive wizard. A counter punching machine.

There will be shades of Ali when he dominates Pulev. Pulev will not land a single punch, and Hughie will become the real boogeyman of the division. Everybody will fear being outboxed by him.

Trust me mate. Hughie has skills. He's always looked the slicker out of him and Tyson.

The only reason he didn't win the Parker fight was inexperience and inactivity otherwise we would be talking about a HW World Champion.

You may find him boring, but most people also found Floyd boring. Hit and not get hit is the name of the game, and that is what Hughie is trying to perfect.

If he sits down on his punches more like he did Vs Sexton, and he ups his output he is a serious challenge for anybody.

And don't forget Peter Fury in his corner. He was the brains behind Tyson vs Wlad.

Very well said. This fight will put Hugie on the map. People never consider how young he is. He should be gaining his man strength and it will show.

You've got to stop saying "controversially denied" vs Parker, he ran all fight and landed less , the end.
It was only his dodgy gyppo family that tried to sway the rightfully declared result, as they thought hell Parker is just a nobody from NZ let's have this.
Parker was fighting injured around that time too.

I think a draw might have been fair because both landed so few clean shots but Hughie can’t wxpect a win fighting like that

Training harder than ever? With those puny weights? Looks like somebody photoshopped out the heavy weights.
