Nothing wrong with Commey, can't really see the problem except that after calling out Spence pretty much whatever fight Mikey took would be perceived as a letdown. Should be a good fight - Commey's durable and got a good engine... nice match of styles IMO.

I think he's trying to keep an undisputed fight with Loma alive. If he dropped the IBF, the fight with Loma is worth far far less as it wouldn't be undisputed.

This as well ^, can't see why anyone should have a problem with Mikey fighting Commey - not only is Richard a respectable fighter in his own right (and arguably the best LW available that Mikey ain't already fought) and a mando, but it also keeps the door open for the Lomachenko fight, which should have all boxing fans salivating.

It is a decent keep busy fight for Garcia. I like Loma's foe also as Pedraza can fight. I just want to see an undisputed Lightweight Champ

Virtually zero interest in this fight. I don't think Commey is in Mikey's ballpark talent-wise & this should end up being a one sided fairly uncompetitive fight. Respect to Commey on his competitive L's, but I think Mikey is a couple levels up from the guys Commey had close fights with.

Mikey needs to make a big fight happen already. He's the boy who cried wolf with big fights. If he's not fighting a big fight next or at least sometime during 2019 I think even more people will be sick of his sh^t.
