      For sure

I think it’s a combination of him being a earner for the sport and that he’s Mexican so he has the support of the largest demographic in North America that follow the sport and are a loyal great fanbase that support their own. So the powers that be whoever they are give him every break and advantage they can

In sports I expect the $ players or team to get a certain amount of favouritism it’s f.ucked up but it’s almost to be expected. $ drives sports and it’s big business so whatever

But with Canelo it’s just so f.ucking obvious. I mean it’s like you want judges that’ll give you the benefit every single fight done , You want to do PEDs and basically get a slap on the wrist with no penalty and have everyone from the sanctioning bodies to the media trying to downplay it Done

      Just keep earning that $

He got a split decision W against Lara and Golovkin both fights most people are in agreement he lost both of them but somehow was awarded 9 rounds against Lara and 10 against Golovkin

He got a draw against Golovkin another fight most thought he lost but somehow had 1 Judge giving him 10 rounds and the other judge who scored it andraw gave him the 7th a round Stevie Wonder would give to Golovkin

I haven’t watched his other 2 MDs but wouldn’t be suprised if he didn’t deserve the W in either

Just admit Canelo gets favoured by the judges in every fight and has never had a scorecard that wasnt slanted in his favour

Just be happy with Canelos shallow victories and stop trying to pretend it’s some it isn’t and he actually deserved the scorecards he receives
Just “admit” that when you watch Canelo you think boxing is easy!

          What are you talking about

I’m a Canelo hater but I’ll give the man his props and admit his willingness to fight anyone , his actual desire to be great and his fan friendly style and he should get major props for pressing the fight against Golovkin in the rematch ,

I don’t even know what you mean with that sentence you wrote . I got nothing but respect for elite fighters and don’t think the sports easy at all. In fact the older I get the more I’m amazed and respect what these guys do in the ring. It’s f.ucking crazy when you think about it.

Stop acting like he’s some sort of boxing Svengali. When he faced a true master in the sport in Mayweather he got embarrassed and made to look like a Amateur and when he fought the top dogs at 154 ( Lara ) and 160 ( Golovkin ) he had to rely on biased scorecards to get the Ws. Not exactly the signs of a fighter who makes the sport look easy and above all competitors

Compare their performances to even upper echelon boxing like Canelo vs GGG. The Canelo haters won’t acknowledge Canelo’s ability or performance in those fights. The GGG series was Canelo’s best performances. Since Canelo knew he could take those punches, as Bradley publicly addressed in their first match, Canelo knew he could take those power shots in the rematch. If Canelo had any real fear then he would’ve fought identically the same as the first fight but with more punch output. But because of industry pressure, the Reynoso’s were advised by GBP to not fight the same again, and do something completely different. That’s what the judges saw, and that’s all she wrote. GGG fans hate that Canelo performed like a badass and it will forever be on tape for future boxing junkies to enjoy the sweet science.
I am a fan of Golovkin and I praised Canelo for his performance in the rematch. However he still lost the fight IMO and in the opinion of many people on this forum. Golovkin supporters see him as he really is a world class fighter that always brings his best effort into the ring and gives fans their moneys worth. Saying that Golovkin supporters hate seeing Canelo perform like a badass is a gross exaggeration.

The fact that he was given a draw on one card vs. Floyd is all I needed to see as far as judging in Canelo fights. GGG beat him twice and the first fight really wasn't that close. These were bought off cards.

No seriously, the actual eye test and sweet science Canelo does in the ring, there’s a reason he’s highly respected. The guy started pro at 15. That confidence edge adds a lot to why Canelo is an upper echelon fighter. Don’t you see the movement, choice of shots? It’s all finesse

Swing rounds exist. Has Floyd ever had a MD or SD? That supersedes the theory of Canelo favoritism. Judges in the game watched Floyd for years, sometimes you’re bound to gravitate to a youngster at 23 holding his own. Showtime’s replays were basically just round 6-7. That’s easy editing to make it seem like Floyd “schooled” but he didn’t.

It the same thing with Showtime’s card. Looks at Showtimes replays on YouTube. Did they edit an 11 round schooling of Fury over Wilder? Nope!

Lol! Boys can you believe this dude?

Canelo was outclassed badly! No way to defend that scorecard. Don't even try it.

What a noob. Another boxing fanboy that doesn’t understand that 120-108 or 118-110 or WIDE decisive wins for an “outclassing.”

                      These were the cards! Lol

                      112-116 | 114-114 | 111-117

                      8-4 | 6-6 | 9-3

This obvious scoring shows swing rounds for what judges care in their judgement the 4 criteria. Again, Showtime’s round 6-7 replays doesn’t say anything for 12 rounds of “outclassing.”

                      Wilder vs Fury

What were the scorecards vs Showtime’s “Unofficial” scorecard that made Fury and Mayweather significantly different than the judges? As people made fun of HBO for years, Showtime is no different.
