Golovkin says it's about the best fighting the best:

"Fighting Amir Khan, then maybe [welterweight Manny] Pacquiao … hey, listen, Canelo, I have double the championship belts [at middleweight],” Golovkin said. “Make the fight with me. It’s a good fight for us. Not an easy fight. Everyone understands that. But then next … you can bring on Manny or Floyd [Mayweather]. For me, it’s about who’s the best? Who’s No. 1 in the division? That’s what’s No. 1 to me. Second is money.”

“Canelo says he’s the middleweight champion. Middleweight is my best weight,” Golovkin said. “Everybody says Canelo’s this great champion. I saw his last fight. Cotto’s not a real middleweight. Great champion, not a middleweight. I’m a middleweight. So let’s settle who’s the best middleweight. Canelo? He’s a big idol … is he really a junior-middleweight? Come on, guys. Let’s fight. You don’t want the fight, I understand, you’re 100% a businessman. So go fight Manny Pacquiao. But I wait, I’ve been waiting … let’s go fight.”

It's more for him trying to fight Murata and refusing Jermall for "business" decisions

So??? Every fighter that lived has done this. Golovkin is near the end of his career he can fight whoever he wants so he's going to take advantage of it. Marquez won't rematch Pac because he wants to keep his win intact. Floyd fought Berto and McGregor. Larry Holmes fought Spinks. All for money. Fights that fans want to see for whatever reason may not be in the financial best interest of the fighter so they don't happen. Golovkin has no title so he's free to do whatever he wants.

It's a contradiction and G is doing the same exact thing he despised. You guys are the same ones that attacked other fighters for making similar business decisions when G was high risk low reward.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot, it's ok now

That is ridiculous. You are cherry picking comments from the threads and posters and attaching them to all of his fans. You and a couple of others don't like Golovkin for whatever reason and you go out of your way to run him down.

It's the truth... Were you one of those fans? Are you sure I won't find anything in your post history for attacking other fighters that made business decisions in the past yet you refuse to attack Golovkin... Are you sure this doesn't apply to you?

Check all you want. I've posted on here I don't like Canelo and I don't like Cotto. To be clear I'm not hiding by claiming that its his fans I don't like but they are OK. My dislike of Cotto started when he flagrantly fouled Zab three times. Then to top it off he publicly stated that he may not pay Golovkin the step aside money he owed him for the Canelo fight. To compound it the WBC interseeded on his behalf and asked Golovkin to step aside to allow the fight to happen. Then Cotto didn't pay the sanctioning fees to fight Canelo. Thanks WBC and here is a knife in your back for your help. I'm not a fan of the WBC by any means but fair is fair. By the way the WBC is screwing Charlo but when people post that its unfair they get accused by the fanatical few of being a Golovkin apologist.

“I don’t need a belt to fight Canelo. I keep $1.1 million in my banking account, that’s better for me,” Cotto said to Lance Pugmire of the latimes.com about the $300,000 in sanctioning fees he won’t be paying the WBC for the Canelo fight, and the $800,000 step aside fee that was coming to Golovkin for him to let the Cotto-Canelo fight take place with the WBC title on the line.

I can see your dislike for Cotto. I remember those low blows against Zab.

To be fair, did Cotto not also make business decisions that made/saved him money?

Did you attack him for it?
