Eddie Hearn “When Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder Gets Made, It Will Be On DAZN”

Eddie Hearn echo’s Bob Arums statement and agrees Showtime will leave boxing like HBO. He stated the US PPV model will die soon. He said once Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua is made it will happen on DAZN.. If DAZN co broadcast the fight with Showtime, He believes 99% of people will buy it on DAZN for $10 as opposed to paying $90 to watch it on Showtime.

Showtime can only make big PPV fights like this based on estimates how well they believe the PPV will do.. If they co promote then Showtime wont even sell 1k PPV therefore they wont be able to acquire these big fight anymore.

So all the people on here who hate Hearn and hate DAZN as a result.. if AJ vs Wilder takes place on both platform which one would you buy it on?.

That's what he's supposed to say, his fighter in the platform he's involved with.

For sure it will be on DAZN. AJ is the A-side.

But he has a point.. these channels cannot charge $90 for PPV anymore.

AJ vs Wilder would be a huge fight in terms of revenue for Showtime.. But DAZN will get that fight if not co promote with Showtime. If they co promote the fight no one will buy it on Showtime. So now one of the biggest revenue fights for Showtime will make them nothing.. These PPV channels wont be able to survive against these streaming services.

If they put up the money and give both fighters what they want then yeah why not

NOBODY have a issue with DAZN, some people have a issue with EDDIE and they want to take it out on DAZN which is unfair but this is how CHILDISH Fight fans are today and they do it not just to Eddie but some people hate everything PBC because it is Al Haymon who is associated with Mayweather who they hate...Only In Boxing

SHO PPV's future (Outside Mayweather) will be tested with the Wilder/Fury PPV.
(I wonder what their REAL expecataions are for this one numbers wise??)

Sounds like AJ Vs. Wilder negotiations are gonna be another Dicc measuring contest similar to Bowe/Lewis ect...

Defo think the fight has less chance of happening now that Hearn is saying DAZN as opposed to Showtime who would obviously 100% want the PPV go thru them.

              Money talks bull**** walks.

So Wilder who is the bigger star in the US and this deal would mainly be for the US rights they would have to pay Wilder probably more than Joshua makes from the US rights. IF they are willing to pay enough I am sure it doesn't even have to be that way but Wilder will be getting paid extremely well for that.

It should be on DAZN. Better for the fans.

It will be a cold day and hell before Espinoza let’s Wilder leave Showtime. He basically said as much on Chris Mannix’ podcast. With everything they have invested in Joshua and Wilder they feel like the fight is there’s by rights.
