No Mayweather had a guaranteed of 32 million plus a percentage of PPV the guarantee for Mayweather was of 200 Million, with the ups on PPV revenue of 250 million, Maidanas 2 fights, Guerrero, did not hit the million mark averaging 850 K PPV and specially Berto's 400K PPVs but he did make up some of the loses for Showtime with the Canelo and Pacquiao fights.

Very simple, Eddie ***** started off very disappointing and the Duck Zone has to make a move and desperately over paid Canela, can’t blame the Golden Girl for robbing Duck Zone with no gun, he did what was best for his Diva, now look forward to all the tomatoe cans this fraud will be fightingComment

Yeah I get that, but it goes a long way towards legitimising the network to US fight fans, boosting subscribers and increasing profile. Hearn controls a big portion of the DAZN boxing budget, so what’s good for them is going to be good for him in terms of attracting talent.Comment

Just to clarify because so many are.; I'm not one of these guys just biting at the bit to see anyone fail. If there's room for Matchroom and GB that's great.
It seems like if GB can get viewers on DAZN and Eddie struggles without GB DAZN will likely rectify their mistake and make the switch.
If DAZN has a contract with Hearn regardless of Hearn's performance DAZN is about the worst business I've ever heard of and I am a professional prototyper. I've worked for everyone from robot manufacturers to video game developers. I promise you, his contract is based on him hitting certain marks, no one goes in big money unprotected.
That said I don't reckon it's definitely a bad thing for Eddie, it just depends on how Eddie plays it. Seems like Oscar's path is clear, minimize Matchroom and maximize GB on DAZN. Eddie's is less because he's got to use GB to maximize Matchroom at the moment.
I think it's very interesting and kind of historical given boxing hasn't taken streaming very seriously up to this point. I wish more people would just speak on it rather than picking a side and twisting all information to reflect their side positively. I'm fairly interested in see De La Hoya and Hearn chessmatch DAZN.Comment

I got to think Canelo will have some shares in DAZN with this deal. Such a boss move getting $30+ million guaranteed for 10 fights, with some being a lot more. The question now is going to be are they going to still run PPVs for those that don't have DAZN ala the WWE? I think that would make a lot of sense. And really curious with the budget GBP will have with this deal. They have a much better chance of signing big name fighters than Hearn since they are a proven commodity stateside with that type of budget.
DAZN wasn't going to be able to obtain rights fees to the NFL or NBA until 2021, so they had to make a big splash. And they did just that signing Canelo to their platform. Want to get your name out there to the viewing public? Well, this was one way to do it. For the paying consumer, DAZN is so worth it with the amount of content they put out.Comment
