Actually it's not more than what Floyd was guaranteed. Floyd got 300 mil for 6 fights. Canelo is getting 365 mil for 10 fights. It averages about 50 mil per fight for Floyd and 36 mil per fight for Canelo. Canelo is pretty gonna make what he usually makes per fight.

Well yes and no floyd was getting 32mil guarenteed for every fight except canelo and manny which he got 42 mil and 100 mil, overall mayweather still made more because of ppv and dazn doesnt have that so i wonder where the compensation is going to come from.

Wonder how much DLH is getting from the deal, if the Money is guaranteed Canelo should have negotiated lower % for GBP. I'm sure Hearn would have happily promoted Canelo's fights for a flat fee.

When gbp had a trial in 2016 it was revealed that Canelo makes like 92% of the profits.(I couldn't believe it at the time,but he has his own promo company,so that must mean gbp is just doing negotiations & running operations with a small budget for him pretty much.)

Why do people keep mentioning Hearn. Isn't this a GBP and Alvarez deal with DAZN similar to the deal Matchroom and Joshua have. GBP must provide fights just like Matchroom. From all that I have read The Golden Boy deal is separate from the Matchroom deal.

That's what they're banking on, if not Canelo is stuck there for 5 years. A 2-year deal would have been smart because after 2 years we'll basically know if this thing is gonna be successful.

It’s a win win for Canelo. If he loses his next 5 fights he still stands to make 35 million a fight. He is set. His loyal fan base only spend 10 dollars to watch him. Watch how many people subscribe to Dazn now.
