I was listening to a interview a couple days ago with Michael Ovitz who ran CAA talent and was regarded as the most powerful person in Hollywood for years and he did the same thing never did interviews or press for years.

It’s probably a combination of 2 things , Haymon staying in the shadows builds a aura around him that increases the power that he’s perceived to have its like a Keizer Sosay approach in Usual Suspects and from that slander piece from Thomas Hauser years ago he spends most of his time with his family

I get that in this day and age where the POTUS was a reality star and Characters in the sport like Eddie Hearn crave the spotlight and would rather promote themselves then their fighters and everybody wants to be a somebody it’s weird not to seek out attention but it’s really not a big deal a large % of the most powerful people in the World make their moves in silence

Arum needs to come with a new excuse why Spence / Crawford or Garcia / Loma won’t get made he should just stuck with the it needs to do at least 500k PPV to be worthwhile because Spence andnCrawford might never reach the status to where that # is achievable
I don't think it is that. We do know for a fact that he did contact Mikey and Robert looking to set up a meeting. As for Spence I am not sure. PBC could call his bluff and release a statement saying they are waiting for Bob to ring them, which would embarrass ole Bob

Says the fat guy sitting on the couch that doesn't fight! If that were true his stable of fighters would not be the deepest.

PBC loses $400 million, loses all the initial tv contracts they signed,
had bad ratings, had 0 great fights, 90% of their fighters careers have stalled for the past 5 years, and yet somehow Haymon still retains a great deal with Showtime, gets a better deal with FOX, and does not lose any unhappy fighters due to inactivity and stalled careers, and now signs Pacquiao. Only in boxing is such failure rewarded with more money, more power, and more positive publicity.

The only difference between Al Haymon and Don King is Haymon went to an ivy league college.

this could well turn out to be another Weekend at Bernie's scenario, with the Watson twins just pretending to everyone for the last decade that he is still alive

How many fights are successfully negotiated through the press?

When Arum wanted Felix Diaz for Bummed, he knew how to get a hold of Haymon.

This is classic Arum. This is what he does. He tells the media, over and over and over again, the other guys don't want the fight. When in fact, it is Arum who has no intention of making any kind of deal. He's been doing this for 40 years now.

And Arum saying all this right now is very fishy. Bummed just resigned with Arum and TR. He said he did because Arum can and will get him fights against the top welterweights. And a week later, Arum is saying he has no idea how to even get a hold of anyone to negotiate a fight with a top welterweight. Bummed says Arum works with Haymon and that's why he resigned with TR. And then Arum comes out and says he has no idea how to make a fight with any Haymon fighter. lol.

Arum is trying his best to deflect attention away from the fact that he just had a fighter ranked as top 5 p4p, fight the 31st ranked welterweight. Six spots lower than Ocampo was for Spence!!!

Well, one thing is for sure, Arum somehow just stole millions upon millions of dollars from espn.

Arum is doing the right thing to promote the sport, talk, talk, talk, talk...
Just like Hearn, who is almost everywhere talking to everybody.
Unlike the mysterious people on the other side of the street.
                  They don't even want meetings.

                      Haymon's probably a *********** - If Arum is a Zionist they don't even recognise the word *********.

But seriously, how does Haymon make any money? He encourages inactivity in his fighters, most of them fight once a year, PBC is a flop...
