Comments Thread For: Arum: Nobody Sees Al Haymon or Talks To Him - It's Not Normal!

A few days ago, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum - in an interview with BoxingScene.com - questioned the existence of powerful boxing manager Al Haymon. Haymon, who manages/advises over a 100 boxers, is the founder of the Premier Boxing Champions banner.

One thing I do like about Al Haymon is that he isn't in the spotlight and prefers to stay out of the press. I don't like the way he manages his fighters as they sit for way too long but like Suge Knight would say I appreciate that Haymon isn't "all up in the videos"

How is that possible? LA Times reported them less than 24 hours ago from an "exclusive interview." Do better.

Arum just making the excuses already for the fights fans want to see won’t get made

Arum didn’t have a problem making fights with Molina or Felix Diaz who are Haymon fighters

I was listening to a interview a couple days ago with Michael Ovitz who ran CAA talent and was regarded as the most powerful person in Hollywood for years and he did the same thing never did interviews or press for years.

It’s probably a combination of 2 things , Haymon staying in the shadows builds a aura around him that increases the power that he’s perceived to have its like a Keizer Sosay approach in Usual Suspects and from that slander piece from Thomas Hauser years ago he spends most of his time with his family

I get that in this day and age where the POTUS was a reality star and Characters in the sport like Eddie Hearn crave the spotlight and would rather promote themselves then their fighters and everybody wants to be a somebody it’s weird not to seek out attention but it’s really not a big deal a large % of the most powerful people in the World make their moves in silence

Arum needs to come with a new excuse why Spence / Crawford or Garcia / Loma won’t get made he should just stuck with the it needs to do at least 500k PPV to be worthwhile because Spence andnCrawford might never reach the status to where that # is achievable

It is amazing when you think about it though. He is well known enough to be considered a public figure, but he is like a ghost. Has anyone got a picture of him that isn't over 10 years old? There is like 3 or 4 pics of him in total, and that's it.

It is even more amazing that he can keep it that way. That's Illuminati type stuff.
