Comments Thread For: Wilder Manager To Hearn: After Fury Fight, We Can Talk Joshua

Shelly Finkel, the co-manager of WBC heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs), has no problem sitting down to discuss a potential fight with WBO, IBO, WBA, IBF champion Anthony Joshua (22-0, 21 KOs).

Winkel’s full of stale air and is simply hedging his bets because of the Fury rematch clause.

filnles job is to manege the future of wilder. at present his job is done for wilder v fury so why not negotiate with hearn....because fury has a rematch clause! just as wilder does. there will be no wilder v joshua fight in april. finkle is talking ****! the next fight wfor wilder will be wilder v fury 2

Winkel in training camp too? Hearn has dozens of fighters from ukraine to UK to america along with 50+ shows a year and he manages to make time for BIGGEST fight in world negotiations. And don't tell me they need to negotiate for terms if wilder wins as they can have multiple contracts depending on outcome of Widler vs Fury. Wilders team have used AJ for publicity

Not convinced with Shelly still. Dragging his heels. What's the issue with turning down meetings, refusing to talk, now saying not til date x.

It's the biggest fight, what's the issue with meeting, holding talks on the key points of a deal?

I think it’s more about respect. Hearn treated them like they were some second rate outfit last time. And I don’t think they want to jump just because Hearn says jump.

Or maybe because they need to see the numbers for his ppv, ticket sales etc before talking about financial split to counter offer?

Hearn said a deal didn't have to be done by Dec 1, then said we want to be in a position to only have to watch the fight then sign afterwards. That would mean the deal was done by Dec 1 right?

Why not wait until the ppv numbers come in? The only way any of this could work is if the revenue split has tiers for different PPV splits. I.E if Wilder/Fury does 500K then 50/50, 400K 60/40 so on and so forth
