Understanding the DAZN - Canelo deal?

Idk about Canada. Idek if we know there is a long term deal in place yet do we? As far as I've heard so far Canelo just has a one fight deal. That could change tomorrow with that presser, but I don't think we definitely know that yet.
I'd assume nothing would change with his Mexico TV deal-Canelo fights in Mexico will still be on free TV on TV Azteca?
Haven't heard anything about Sky in relation to this, but if Canelo is signing a long term deal it wouldn't surprise me if they are also doing something with Sky.-Canelo fights in the UK will now be on Sky Sports?
I highly doubt this.-Canelo & GBP fighters will be co promoted by Eddie Hearn?
I suspect this deal is gonna be about GBP & DAZN more than Eddie & GBP first off. Second off I can't see Oscar giving away the giant upside with his biggest fighter that has kept GBP afloat these past few years.
I suspect Eddie don't even care about that sh^t. I suspect Eddie's upside with DAZN is about subscribers thus GBP coming to DAZN is already gonna boost Eddie's bank account via his cut of that monthly nut coming in. Promoting or co-promoting GBP fights would just be f#cking with his main projects anyway. And while I don't think Oscar is a genius, he's not as ****** as a lot of boxing fans think either. He'd NEVER sign off on Canelo being promoted by another promoter.Comment

LOL it don't sound like it.
Thats the thing with this streaming stuff. Its the future. But the future ain't here yet. And a lot of cats have no interest in the future today. So even with Canelo on DAZN (assuming this is more than a 1 fight deal) its not gonna be an easy road to the mainstream. Canelo is a nice pickup for them doe if he is a legit pickup thats for sure & I'm positive they will get a huge bump for them.Comment

DAZN has that Netflix dream so time will tell. They barley launched in 2018 in the US so by 2020 we should have a idea if it’s a failure or not. Meanwhile DAZN need to add some more sports on its app like Latin American soccer or tennis or something other then just boxing.Comment
