*Edit: Emmanuel Augustus might've been one comparable type of fight. Floyd was also like 23 when he fought him lol
Floyd fought a washed up has been Sharmba Mitchell who at that point in his career especially with his own knee injury was no better than Benavidez. A Mitchell that got stopped twice by Tszyu.

The thing with Mayweather is he's WWE-level in playing the heel. As skillful as he was in the ring, more people payed hoping to finally see him lose rather than hoping for him to score 120-108 on all the cards. With Crawford, he's still dividing opinion. He's starting to get a bit more love, but nowhere near the amount of anti-popularity that Mayweather had, or still has.

What fight is it that you're thinking of? Floyd has stopped 3 people ever at Welter. One was Ortiz lol.

Floyd Mayweather is the best fighter of his era. I do not understand peoples need to make up stuff about him to try to make him seem cool. Can we not appreciate him for what he is/was rather than what we WANT him to be?

Old jealous mf can't keep Floyd's name out of his mouth. Mad because he lost Manny to Al Haymon. So keep talking Spence while overrated Crawford keeps fighting bums.

Yeah that's pretty much the Bob Arum formula

Revisionist history. Just prior to fighting Mitchell, pundits were saying that they'd love to see Floyd fight Sharmba Mitchell. Also Mitchell actually had championship pedigree. You know, Mitchell actually won some belts in his time. Benavidez is a never was. Your comparable is a massive reach.

OR he knew mentioning Floyds name would get a bunch of butthurt fans talking about it.

ARUM is reaching for attention again.

                      1. CRAWFORD gets hit too much on back end shots. He must learn to move laterally much better.

                      2. CRAWFORD needs ARUM to do much better job promoting the fact that he's NO. 1 P4P fighter. He needs more commercials and endorsements.

                      3. FLOYD would of won every rd decisively against that guy sat night.
