Comments Thread For: Regis Prograis Sees Future at 147, Eyes Errol Spence

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - Coming to a convention center or casino parking lot near you the 2020 fight of the year. Regis Prograis vs. Errol Spence Jr. For the undisputed welterweight championship of the world. Sound farfetched? Not if you ask Prograis, a rising 29-year-old who's not averse to the idea of adding a few pounds to pursue bigger fights once his to-do list at his current weight 140 is complete...

Chill Regi, you calling out dude that should be fighting at middleweight, your goal should be the natural welterweight P4P #1. Terence Crawford, KING of the sport.

If Prograis wins the tourney (I hope Prograis and Baranchyk make to the finals: GOODIE), I would like to see him fight Mikey Garcia @ 140, before either of them go to 147!

Nothing against Prograis, I know he's a 140 pounder, but Crawford seems to be the only fighter talking about willing to make an Errol Spence fight next.

So many talk about being open to fight, but just like it was a time ago with GGG, they just won't do it now. Whatch these same fighters and their fans criticize Errol's resume in 2 years if he doesn't get the big fights...

Learn to chew before you can swallow boy or you gonna choke. Good fighter no doubt but you jump at the deep end you gonna drown, Spence doesn't play around you know?

I find it disingenuous when a fighter whose promoter has an exclusive network deal talks about a champ in his division that is promoted by someone with an exclusive deal on a different network.

Prograis is tough and good. I will take his words as sincere when he mentions Crawford.
