For the past month or so there was rampant speculation that Joe Smith would be challenging WBA light heavyweight titlist Dmitry Bivol on HBO in late November. Think Joe had better chance of finishing the fight on his feet against Bivol... but also more of a puncher's chance against Betterbiev. Both good fights.

Smith has shown to have more power than johnson, beterbiev is there to be hit so I'd give him a chance. And bivol beats them both

‘The winds of change’ is just another way of saying they like their chances against Beterbiev because after his fight with Johnson it’s a better risk.

It should be a good fight if it gets made, but I don’t see Smith coming out a winner.

At this stage of his career and costly promotional battles in the courts, Beterbiev needs to roll that dice in the next few years and secure a pay day - possibly a unification bout.
