Well if Baldomir beats Gatti I wouldn't really blame PBF if he fights him although he wouldn't be my choice of fighters for PBF to face.

But I wonder how funny would that comment have been if instead of PBF fighting the winner of Gatti vs Baldomir it was stated that Hatton would fight the winner? Would Hatton receive an equal amount of criticisim for challenging the winner or would he be praised?

No one calls Hatton number one p4p. Not even himself.

No but he calls himself The Man at jrWelterWeight and a 2 Division Champion.

Just seen Hatton on the news, here's what he said..

He said he doesn't like to blow his own horn or anything but that people should remember that HE is the undisputed king at 140lbs, not Cotto or Mayweather.

He said he purely followed Mayweather (upto 147).

Once he gets Collazo out of the way, he wants to fight the winner of Castillo/Corrales III in his next fight (possibly at MSG) back at 140 and then onto Cotto and/or Mayweather. He says he has four fights left in him, and will be retired by 2008.

At 147, he says he'll be even more explosive because he's able to have more carbs in his pre-fight diet to fuel his muscles.

He then added that he'd be "absolutely livid" if he didn't get to fight Mayweather.

PBF doesnt need the belts, fighting gatti or baldy would be pretty worthless... it wouldnt be a big payday and isnt going to win him any recognition...

That's because hs is, until someone beats him. Boxing is a 'what have you done for me lately' sport. Hatton beat Tsyzu. He gets more slack for that than Floyd gets for beating Judah, that's for sure.

Like I said, I wouldn't have a problem with Floyd if he wants to be the legit champ at 147 by beating Baldy. Same applies to Hatton.

Gatti you mean? Yer rootin for him?

I honestly think Gatti will lose this fight, but we'll see. Gatti get hit way too much against Damgaard, and Baldy hits harder than Damgaard does.

It should be a good one.

Think about it though, those belts mean more money for Floyd in the long run.
I hope he doesnt fight Baldy, but its a smart business move.
