The host ( Imgur or Gyphy) will render the same GIF file you create if they publish it as GIF form, Imgur gives you the option of using the HTLM form ; which is basically a gif converted to video -- that blurs the gif, reducing the quality, however on some pixelating or high dithered gifs with complicated colors and gradients it improves the quality.
I don't need all that tho, I create my own and request my original work in gif form, cause I'm a BOSS!
Just download the original HD vid off youtube or where ever the file comes from, resize it through PS -- I tried resizing the vids using video converters/cutters but it degrades the original quality, but what I do sometimes is if I have to cut the file, I cut it/convert it into the original size using a very,very high bitrate to make sure the quality is retained.
I convert a couple with different bitrate in the original size and formats, MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, etc. to compare what worked best, then when I nailed the quality of my trim file, its to the PS to work on the magic! BOOM!Comment
