  • Comments Thread For: Fielding Confident: Canelo is Not Big at 160, Certainly Not at 168

Rocky Fielding is not going down without a fight, when Canelo Alvarez attempts to follow up his middleweight world title win over Gennady Golovkin by attempting to capture the World Boxing Association super middleweight title in New York in December. Canelo ended Golovkin's unbeaten reign as unified middleweight champion with a majority decision in Las Vegas on September 15, seizing the World Boxing Council and WBA middleweight belts.

Canelo is gonna pepper him with combos to the head and body and make him miss!

Fielding is too slow for Canelo, heck I’d give Canelo a shot to beat Zurdo and Callum Smith as well as long as he puts a rehydration cap on them!

He’ll be the most skilled 168 guy even though he’s the smallest!

As others said, skills pay the bills!

Canelo will chop Rocky down just like this

Rocky is a Tall Lean Guy, not built for Body shots CLEARLY...

and I think that is how Canelo breaks him down and stops him, TO THE BODY!

This guy is too dense to realize that the reason he was picked is because his skills are so primitive, his size advantage will be irrelevant.

If Fielding is thinking weight is gonna win this fight for him I'd suggest he put his hope elsewhere. I mean okay its possible that could be a problem, but Canelo's skill is most likely gonna be the biggest hurdle either guy will be dealing with on fight night & idk if 8lbs is gonna be the answer to that problem.

Also has it been confirmed this fight is at 168? I'm assuming it is at 168 since we've not heard anything about a catchweight as of yet, but I've not heard anything about the weight being 168 either & its not like that is a concept unfamiliar for Canelo.
