This might well have been the last good round of Roy's career. The last 'dig deep' performance was vs Tarver in the 1st fight, but this 5th round is probably the last breath of an aging great.
I must confess, I love showboating mixed with speed and power and I got really excited at that point. This only exacerbated my disappointment when I realised later on that Roy was content to go the distance.
Just watched the video... I can't believe someone recorded it silent on a camcorder and uploaded it. I might upload my copy of it...
Please feel free to do that. I am the one who just recorded this round off of a computer-played copy of the fight. It's the only Roy fight I don't have on tape. If you'd upload your high-quality version w/sound that'd be great. Good k.

****, I'm sorry, I wouldn't have said that if I'd known it was you. Didn't mean to be insulting, man.
yeah i jumped up and started yelling at the tv when i watched this live, i thought roy was finally gonna go for it and fight tarver off the ropes and throw combos like he did that round, that just shows that physically he isn't that shot.
this was the perfect example that tarver did not want to fight roy. that he as scared to mix it up with him. notice the only time he was throwing combos is when roy was on the ropes. everytime roy jumped in tarver huddled up like a baby. this proves that tarver was scared of roys power.
