Yea I like both guys myself, but oddly am not really looking forward to this one at all. It feels like a Jose cashout fight to me. I feel like this bad blood was invented to make this fight to begin with by Jose's side.



Agree he's been hyped forever, I, hilariously now, was predicting a Benavidez vs Gomez SUPER FIGHT lmfao at one point. But I think he's already shown us the hype isn't real pre-getting shot in some of his better opponent fights. Coulda just been a age thing, but I don't think he's grown as a fighter since those fights & I suspect he's even regressed since then.



Always hope for that, but outside of Jose's size/height I'm not sure there is any problems Jose can give Bud. And I feel like you need more going for you besides size/height to beat Bud.

You’re probably right , TR seems to be trying to cash out JR for awhile now even the Herrera fight seemed like a cash out but it backfired , then he f.ucked around and got shot but think TR is definitely giving him the Felix Verdejo treatment where they’ve lost interest about progressing his career

I’ll give JR credit though he actually chased this fight . JR probably just talking trash to get the fight , Crawford talking trash because it gets him amped up to lay the beat down on whoever he’s facing

I wouldn’t be suprised if it’s a blowout and you’d think it should be but I’m hoping Benevidez comes to fight and can live up to his earlier potential and makes it a fight.

Eh, I think Jose is in on it. I think he knows whats in store for him, but that $ is all he's really thinking about. If he can parlay this L into some future paydays I'm sure he won't be against it & if he can look halfway good or even win then all the more power to him, but I think he knows going in what type of fight this is. And I think his shooting incident might be the reasoning cuz maybe everything isn't working like it used to.

Definitely of the opinion its much much more likely to be a blow or one sided affair. Benevidez hasn't looked like a future super star in a long time. I mean go back & watch Floyd's or Oscar's pro debut (& randomly I still remember when that one cat dropped Oscar & that made me question him for years afterwards cuz thats not no sh^t a future super star usually has to deal with vs that caliber a guy) & their early fights. RJJ or plenty other guys to. There is an eye test those guys past early on & Benavidez failed that eye test years ago.
