I honestly doubt that. Still too much money to be made as long as he doesn’t get hurt. He seems like the type that will keep going until he’s like 45 years old. He can fight Broner & Mayweather next. Than I can see him having 1 or 2 easy type of fights for the quick paydays than a final fight against a good opponent.

There is a good mix of guys with Haymon that can work with Manny.
He obviously wants Mayweather, which to me is just easy money for both guys no reason to pass that up and no one is getting hurt in that fight.
Then there are bigger names that Manny could beat like a Broner or Danny Garcia who would both want that fight and Manny can likely handle but both are big enough names that it could be on PPV for good money.
A wildcard like Thurman who, I would say is likely to beat Manny but with his injuries and time away that could be 50-50 and since Thurman likes to box it may not be as dangerous as appears.
Or fights Manny could get guy over like Spence or Mikey Garcia who I think both handle Manny at this stage.
To me that sounds like a good guy for Haymon to bring into the fold no matter the cost even for only a few fights, he fits in a lot of spots so unlike with Arum who basically had one guy.Comment

If all these reports are true then Manny has purged himself of Arum (his longtime promoter), his Koncz (his longtime manager) and he already gave Roach (his longtime trainer) the boot earlier this year. He is signing with Haymon because he already has assurance from Floyd that the rematch is happening. So this is a 2 fight deal the first fight will be somebody like Broner or worse who is very beatable maybe taking place in another country like the Matthysee fight where he avoids US taxes. He definitely will be the promoter for that fight just like he promoted Matthysee fight under his own banner without Top Rank. I think putting that fight on FOX makes the most sense. After he wins he goes directly into a ride off into the sunset retirement payday with Floyd that will be Showtime PPV. It won't make money like the first fight but it still makes a lot of moneyComment

Yea I'll always take the over on the over/under for a boxer saying he'll retire by age whatever or after x number of fights or w/e.I honestly doubt that. I'd be a trillionaire by now if I could make these bets.
Hope Manny is 2 & out after 2 nice paydays, but I wouldn't bet on it.Comment

In a move that could pave the way for a 2019 rematch with Floyd Mayweather, eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao has aligned himself with powerful adviser Al Haymon Haymon, who runs Premier Boxing Champions, is the longtime adviser to Mayweather.

good move Manny, especially if that is a fight-by-fight deal
nice job
he did what he had to do, in order to make a fight he wanted
he moved closer to the action.....
..... unlike when my boy Bradley signed with Top Rank, and then admitted that due to "political issues" he may never face the top welters.....
..... and was closely followed by my boy Crawford SMHComment

Pac realized too late what Oscar, floyd and Cotto realized earlier, ditch arum once your name is established and you'll make yourself more money.Comment
