Comments Thread For: Joshua Buatsi To Face Tony Averlant In Newcastle

Joshua Buatsi will fight a former Anthony Yarde opponent this weekend. The 25-year-old former Olympian has raced to 7-0 with five early since turning professional just over a year ago. Buatsi was last in action in July at the O2 Arena in London when he stopped Andrejs Pokumieko.

Hearn should forget bout matching him with yardes opponents and take him down the domestic route instead.

Yarde won't fight him so I guess he's hoping to show him up by doing better vs one of his opponents to show him up and get him fighting. If Yarde is the second coming as Warren paints him and the WBO#1 why not this fight if he won't step up ?

My point was fighting yardes bum of the month club opponents won’t do him any good he’s better off fighting the likes of summers, burton bugloni and eventually Johnson

Warren is **** scared of matching yarde with buatsi that’s obvious. They’ll contradict themselves and say yarde is above him as he’s world ranked and when you mention him fighting an actual world level opponent they’ll talk about his lack of amateur experience

I noticed Burton having a tune up on the card aswell. You think theres a chance hes gunna make Buatsi/Burton, on that end of year Whyte PPV?

I wouldn’t be surprised tbh. They were going to put him in with summers last time out but he pulled out so we know that’s the level of opponent they’re looking at for him

I know he’s overprotected but Yarde gets far too much stick for ducking British fighters. What will Hearn say if Buatsi takes longer to KO this bum?

From what I’ve seen, Yarde gets beaten by a good boxer but could probably ktfo any of the British ones.

Actually looking at the whole Newcastle card makes me think these are the ones going to be on that PPV.

                  Whyte vs Chisora/Ortiz
                  Allen vs Browne
                  Buatsi vs Burton
                  Fowler vs Fitzgerald

                  Pretty good tbh

                    Buatsi beats Yarde decisively IMO.

Yarde is the LHW version of Eubank Jnr.
