I just saw eubank jr vs groves for the first time

What did you guys think of the fight.

I think it was one of the most pathetic displays I have ever seen. I never want to ****ing see groves fight again.

All he literally did the entire fight was run and hold. He did everything in his power to not engage. This is boxing, not track and field.

I think groves should be suspended and banned for that pathetic performance.

Im not trolling. I heard about the fight and so I decided to check it out.

It turned out to be one of the worst fights I ever seen. Groves ran the entire time, and everytime they were about to engage, he held eubank.

The object of a fight is not to prevent engagement. That's the exact opposite of what they're there for. That was one of the most pitiful displays I have ever seen. I wasted 45 minutes of my life.

I've not watched a replay of the fight, but to be honest I can't remember Groves holding that much. All I remember is Groves landing over and over again and Eubank missing and looking downtrodden, especially after the cut. Groves gave him ample opportunity to land. I never heard Jr or Sr complaining afterwards either.

On another note....am I the only one who thought Eubank just looked sloppy and desperate in there? Like he expected to just run over Groves and got wilder and wilder as the fight progressed? He was looking composed and racking up points in the first few rounds then sort of became all self-conscious and wanted a big hollywood finish. I wanted him to win btw.

If that's the case, try sitting through Roy Jones vs BHop 2

Spot on bro! I was at the fight and me and my mate said after the first couple rounds that it would be close but Eubank ran out of ideas quick and Groves sussed him out and comprehensively outboxed him for the remainder. Haven't a clue what the OP is taking about with Groves running and holding all night, i certainly didn't see that! I seen a clinic!

Watch it again. Everytime eubank got close enough to engage, groves held him.

If I was the ref I would have given him hard warnings.
