Always found it comical when fans of a certain boxer proclaim that their rivals are afraid of each other.

He asked him..."who are you" on few occasions as if he were conducting an exorcism. I don't think Deontay channels anything... it's just his routine to get himself in a fighting mentality, but it puts an interesting spin on the whole fight and makes it even more marketable.
I think your just saying what you want to see here, the mind is a very powerful tool.

Deontay might just stand right in front of pillow-fisted Tyson Fury and let him get off his best combo like Bermane Stiverne and Fury wouldn't even buckle the 'Bronze-Bomber'. Tyson is getting it! Big-John Fury will have the towel ready.

Wilder sees himself as underdog and will be quietly suprised if he beats fury although he won't admit it
Honestly, what is the fight that made Fury fans feel that this man is a good, much less great, fighter? I have not seen it, but I am giving the benefit of the doubt that it exists. Please point me to the fight where this man looks like a fighter. I have only seen him looking like a bumbling, pitty-pat goofball. This man is going to get seriously hurt.

Yeah, I haven't watched it yet, but to me the Bronze Bomber persona has always stood for his "flesh". Wilder is Christian. His grandma and father were both preachers (he said that in an interview on the British morning TV show). In Christianity there is always a distinction and tension between the flesh and the soul. The soul is who the person is in God and for eternity, while the flesh contains all that is good and bad when it comes to being a human being on earth. The flesh contains all of the unique biology and physical gifts a person has. So by talking about the Bronze Bomber persona, he is describing what his flesh wants to do. The Bronze Bomber wants to inflict pain on others. The Bronze Bomber loves the feeling of his fist going through his grove and making contact with someone else's skull. The Bronze Bomber is gratified by knowing he has physically dominated another man. This is all contradictory to what Wilder's soul knows is right, but his flesh rejoices in expressing what it does best: inflicting pain on his fellow man in the boxing ring.

Just my opinion. Take it for what it's worth to you.

Talking about Jesus in Apollo's sport.

You wouldn't walk into a pentagram with a chicken and a candle talking about how Christ is gonna make you the best witch of all the witches....The ****'re you doing taking part in a pagan ritual that's meant to honor and empower a pagan god?

Boxing is not now and has never been Christian. Christ's official stance is it's a pagan ritual that mocks and disfigures the image of god because we are made in god's image. Hearsay. Literally why boxing is illegal through most of it's modern history.

Just reckon it's cute. I don't believe in any Starchildren outside of Paul Stanley anyway, but Gods are like comic books and this is like a lack of understanding mythos. Makes me feel like a Star Wars nerd watching them new Star Wars and *****ing about what ain't right, what ain't even from Star Wars it's just a bit spacey.

Also, Wilder wins because he has the power of Shango with him. He is the Storm.
