iirc the IBF allowed Lamont Peterson keep the IBF title he 'won' from Amir Khan, despite him testing positive for PEDs in the aftermath of the fight. Where's the integrity in that? WBA returned the title to Khan and I believe they wanted it changed to a NC.

I believe he tested positive in the lead up to the planned rematch. So technically he was “clean” for the first fight, which is why the result was upheld. He should have been stripped though by both bodies for sure though.

Well he isnt lying but its not Pacs fault. Blame it on these ****** organizations who purposely make multiple versions of the same belt so that they can collect more sancationing fees. In my opinion The WBA should have been stripped Thrurman and made Pac the super champ since Thurman hasnt defended the title in almost two years now. Oddly enough when Pacquiao beat Matthysee they awarded him the "super" belt but still have him listed as the "regular" champ. It just makes absolutely no sense at all

Well, Pac didnt HAVE to fight for the belt. He could have simply knocked Matthysse out without paying a sanctioning fee. In all honesty, that would have been the smarter thing to do financially since anyone who wants to fight you, or anyone who has interest in watching you fight would not be doing so because you are a paper champ, but instead because you are Manny Pacquaio. So save your money and stop wasting it on sanctioning fees for secondary titles Manny!

Goes for Alvarez as well if he is actually going to pay a fee to fight for the secondary 168lb belt.
