So when is Jermall Charlo fighting again?

Canelo calls the shots, not the WBC. If Canelo wants to fight GGG in May he will regardless if GGG fought and defeated Jermall or not. If the WBC doesn't like it he will drop their belt like he did before. If Canelo drops the belt then Jermall will fight the highest ranked WBC middleweight for the vacant belt.

If he fights in January or even February he could easily be ready in May. Jermall is always lean and it only takes 8 weeks for a boxer to be in great shape. He could take 6 weeks off and still be ready Just because boxers fight about every 6 months doesn't mean they need that much time off. Boxers used to fight 4 times a year not so long ago. I seriously doubt Canelo will fight him in May anyway because a few other boxers would make Canelo much more money.

Not if Charlo fights and beats GGG before then.

Then Charlo vs Canelo will be the biggest fight in boxing, especially if Charlo were to stop GGG.

I wonder why anyone really believes the WBC has any power over who Golovkin is going to fight?

Not sure what Charlo’s plan is but I’m sure he has got one. He needed to engage Golovkin but once that likely falls through I guess he can pressure for Canelo. But who knows if Golovkin says no they may make Charlo fight someone else first before Canelo.

Isn't it up for GGG to except the fight since Charlo has the interim title? And say if GGG does except and Charlo doesn't he'd lose his shot at Canelo and the interim title.
