Not completely on board with Canelo doing this but if I wanted to take a tune up “what a way to do it!”

This is a calculated move on Canelo's team. He may be a cherry pick opponent but sometimes they do go wrong every once in a while. I still expect Canelo to add that belt to his collection.

Exactly! He has a win over another P4P top 5.

No one else has a win over any current P4Per. I had loma #1 because he made a P4P top 10(smaller guy) quit. But resume wise Canelo should be #1.

This is clearly a bogus attempt at snatch a belt from the worst possible “champion” available. In attempt to one, sell what amounts to a stay busy/tuneup fight as an event. Moving up always generates interest. And the next is low risk way of Canelo putting “three division champion” on his resume. That said, no real fight fan is gonna respect the belt. But, it’s a stay busy fight. And as long as he fights someone legit next time out, I have no issues with him doing a fight like this to stay active.
