Canelo is a very smart(business) man to move up to super middle....

Simply put there is talent at 168.....but he is simply a better fighter than all of them (all of them are very untested) despite the size difference, i would pick him to beat all of them period. If he cleans out that division which he will, he could retire and be considered possibly a lower end atg, if not just a legend/great boxer.

This move also avoids the much superior talent at 160. Andrade/Charlo/Jacobs are much better IMO with much more experience and those are at best 50/50 fights for ginger. Not to mention jermell and hurd possibly moving to 160 to challenge him also. With this move, He gets to avoid all of them while they have to fight each other for way less money than he will be making, by the time the top guys move up, he try 175 or retire after cleaning out 168,mark my words!

All the "top dogs" at 160 are busy and Canelo is taking a stay-busy fight at 168 to become 3-division champion.

Not seeing the problem with this at all.

All the hatred toward Canelo exists because of him smacking GennaDIVA around.

GennaDIVA wrapped Canelo's hand wraps, picked Canelo's gloves, and picked the Judges for their rematch.

      And this STILL happened:

If he goes back to 160 and fights the guys i mentioned after fielding i will totally own up to being wrong.....there are a ton of guys to fight at 160 that is better than fielding come on guys....your smarter than this, this is a permnament move to 168.....a year older GGG at 160 might be the only exception to this, and after that it's back to 168....

Yeah, this seems like a way to not fight the Charlos, Andrade, Hurd, Jacobs, Derevyechenko, etc. . .

They're coming for his head, and unlike prime-GGG, people can't wait to fight Canelo, you get record pay and he's not gonna brutalize you. It's why guys were tripping over themselves to fight Floyd back in the day.

Canelo is willing to use his voluntary fight to move up in weight to face a belt holder bigger than him. After just having fought Golovkin twice.

I have no problem with it. At least he's not fighting some bum from a lower weight class who is coming off a loss and hasn't fought in two years.

Do people think he's staying at 168?

My assumption is this is a title grab to give him more options with a 160 fight or a 168 fight for May + for the sexy legacy brag of being a three weight division title holder. There are some killers at 160. If there is some bad mfer arises at 160 this gives Canelo some outs to avoid the guy a lil bit not unlike he did vs GGG for a lil bit.

That makes it sounds like some hater sh^t to the more simplistic fans maybe, but f#ck I understand the move cuz who the f#ck wants to go through Charlo, GGG again, the Jacobs vs Derevyanchenko winner & the BJS vs Andrade winner (or Andrade if BJS f#cked up his own sh^t)? And Hurd might be coming up soon with his giant for a 154lber ass or the other Charlo brother.
