I don't think Wilder is that strong mentally to be honest.

He is clearly uncomfortable with Fury taking centre stage at the pressers etc.

Wilder KNOWS he may be exposed by Fury - and I think that he has some doubts.

The Ortiz fight should have given him some much needed assurance that he can compete at the elite level, but Fury is a different proposition altogether - Fury always looks to beat a guy mentally before they get near a ring, and he is doing a pretty good job of that already with Wilder.

I thought Wilder lost it when he started screaming "there is only one bronze bomber" which Fury picked up on right away and accuse him of stealing his line. Some people you cannot out talk them, for example if Wilder end up fighting Joshua, then you would expect him to have a lot to say than Joshua, you would see Joshua being calm (He might be raging inside) without giving away too much.

Like someone else pointed out earlier Wilder shouldn't play Fury's game, pretend as if you are checking your phone, yawn if you have to and appear bored, all that talking in high voice and then whispering just doesn't look good for Wilder at all the presser, anyways its what happens in the ring that counts.
