Canelo has been ducking Charlo for years and literally asked for permission to avoid fighting Charlo so he can fight Rocky Felding. GGG wants to fight Canelo next and yet he's the one doing the ducking.

It's a matter of opinion why he refused to fight Derevyachenko. My opinion is that he didnt want to risk an injury, which would cancel a fight with Canelo in May. It was a smart move by GGG. And yes, as a prize fighter who risks his health and life he wants a massive payday. Wouldn't you? If he wanted just to enjoy pure sport, he would have stayed an amateur. Then I applaud you for being fair and balanced. Canelo has a voluntary so he's grabbing a secondary belt to add to his legacy. I heard a great comparison it's like when Roy jumped up to beat ruiz for the heayweight title. Looks great on your resume but Roy had no intentions of staying at heavyweight too small. Same with canelo winning a belt in another division and doing it on your voluntary is better then a lot of bums GGG fought hell way better Vanes who GGG just fought in May.
