FACT: it is exactly the same..... a lesser title that should not be taken seriously

    GTFOH
what excuses? did Sturm not pay money to avoid Golovkin? that actually happened. that's not an excuse. its a fact.

point is this fight sucks ass and Canelo gets ZERO credit for beating a nobody at 168. period.

this fight is like a youtube ad. its no different than the dog sht fight GGG had vs Vanes. no different. both dog sht.

      • The regular vs super belt. What a joke. Part of what is wrong with boxing - watering down with all the multiple belt BS.

I knew Canelo would avoid anyone good for his next fight, but Rocky Fielding? Come on. At least take on someone higher rated, gatekeeper status.

        • Never heard of him. Although I suppose Canelo can have an easy night out to keep sharp.

            Why not?

If you're in the Canelo business you got a guaranteed audience for bs fights like this & a nice casual fanbase for the big fights. More value in Canelo's bs fights then a lot of guys' legit fights.

I would think Showtime is the favorite to get Canelo's services with them being the most proven PPV entity in the game now. And I'd make DAZN the 3rd place choice since they don't appear to have any PPV options beyond their regular subscription price.

Callum Smith took very little damage in his fight, the timing is similar enough to work, and he's THE ACTUAL WBA CHAMPION (with a shot for the WBC title in hand when he wants).

              That would've been doing something
that says more about Canelo than it does about fielding lol
Hearn has smith as well but I am pretty sure Canelo didn't fancy that job.
As for rocky what does he have to lose ...fighting a world star in boxing for a big payday at MSG lol
And who says HBO are showing they are pulling out of boxing and maybe they won't do another PPV till they close shop.
Don't be so bitter about it boxing son so enjoy it

At Caneloweight Part II, 161lbs. Book it!!! Tito or Chuck just gonna look like a giant head with a skinny malnourished body at the weigh in.

                • Size difference will be huge and you just never know...Canelo is 5ft 8 short arms and now fully maxed out at his weight....so if don't have enough power to stop fielding then he will take some big punches along the way.

Randomly does anyone know if this is a 168lb weight limit fight or will Canelo call the weight limit at 161 or 163 or some other non-168lb limit?

Oh **** off. You'd be crying like a ***** if GGG moved up to fight a guy who isn't even the 2nd best British Supermiddleweight instead of sticking around in a deep middleweight division.
