          No. Pachecho has nice potential, but is far from the best amateur in the game. Lorenzo Simpson and Khalil Coe are superior American amateurs and then you have Marco Castro who has won Gold in international meets/tournaments.

          As for Mati? Looks like a HELL of an all around fighter, but how can you say he is the best amateur in the game?

            Mati wasn't the best amateur. This Pacheco cat seems to check out doe. If he's not the #1 guy he's certainly a tip top guy based on the amateur credentials I'm seeing.

            That said I don't ever love when these non-open or barely open division guys turn pro. They are always big question marks on those types. I tend to think its better to get more open division experience before turning pro. At least like til your 19, 20, 21. You can see the maturity those couple years give guys. Lotsa these non-open/barely open division experienced guys haven't gotten in with that upper level competition usually til they've been in more of those brutal bracketed open division amateur tournaments.
