Guerrero was never a top 5 WW at any point in his career. He jumped from 135 to 147 and was basically a punching bag in every one of his fights at 147 there are numbers to prove that he was literally a punching bag. Probably the biggest cherry pick in Mayweather's career if we're being honest. The excuse to fight him was what exactly? That he beat Berto and apparently there were no other challengers? Gimme a break!

But why didn't he fight Khan in Sept 2014? or Sept 2015?

Those were the two dates they could've and should've fought.

I've mentioned this in a previous thread. This one counts as an official duck on Mayweather's record. It most certainly is.

I say this because remember when he had that online poll for the fans to pick his next opponent between Maidana and Khan? The fans overwhelmingly chose Khan over Maidana but he chose to pick the least popular fighter anyway which was Marcos Maidana.

I'm pretty sure that Floyd Mayweather, Sr had a lot to do with it because Amir Khan has a great jab which is Floyd's greatest weakness.

That great jab didn’t help him against bums and lesser fighters.

Floyd didnt fight Khan in Sept 2015 because he was shook after he saw Khan's masterful performance against Algeri in May 2015. Floyd knew he couldnt handle that and ducked Khan. If Khan could do that to Algeri, just imagine what he would do to Floyd. That 0 would be gone.

Wish Khan would just stfu...he does nothing but ***** about not getting Mayweather or Pacquaio fights all the time, so he can cash that big check win or lose. You have to EARN those fights and that's something Khan has never done, he has always failed when stepping up the competition, he needs to realize he just isn't good enough to mix with the top guys, his chin fails him everytime....give it up Khan and man up and fight Brook, what's the hold up here? Well that tells you what a sham the rankings were because he only fought twice at WW and barely beat Aydin and Berto. That catapulted him top 5? He was solid at 135, but was a punching bag at 147.

You still didn't answer the other question, why didn't he fight Khan in Sept. 2014 or 2015?

That's when those fights should've taken place.

The Maidana rematch was so unnecessary and the Berto fight was pointless.

Khan's mistake was not fighting the right fights. Broner could have been one of them.

Ok, I'll give you the first Maidana fight because Maidana was coming off a massive victory at the time.

But why give him the rematch? The first Floyd vs. Maidana fight wasn't that competitive. In 2014 Khan had wiped out Luis Collazo.

They should've fought in Sept. 2014. Not a pointless Maidana rematch which turned out to be a dud.

Are you sure about that? If you ask some people around these parts, they will say Maidana won the first fight.
