Incredible comments from Lampley. He has the right mindset.

"Nothing lasts forever; nothing would have meaning if it did"

Powerful... I say that without the slightest bit of cynicism.

But old Lampley has been 1 of the main reasons for Hbo's downfall, instead of them promoting their biggest boxing stars like Canelo/Mayweather who are also the most proven, highest ratings bringers; they instead let Lampley the good old boy run his own bias sht show, where hypejobs were worshipped for can crushing abilities & they would time & time again allow hypejobs like ggg to cherrypick on their Network which brought shtty ratings.
so you have a problem with ggg fighting certain opponents as part of a regular hbo broadcast but then praise Canelo who had 3 straight mismatches (khan, Smith and Chavez jr) on hbo ppv. Only 1 of those 3 (Chavez jr) sold well and that fight was such a dud that it probably turned the casual fan away from wanting to pay again.

Amazing that this fool had so much influence on the boxing world.
This homer, & his"Fight Game" brainwashed thousands of ppl.
Incl the ppl on this site.
You guys still believe him when he tells you that a fighter that NEVER fought a top 10 fighter in ANY weightclass, is the P4P top guy(Crawford) of the sport.
I think Lampley can work for the Trump Administration.
Keep the lies alive, keep them alive Jim!

He's just happy he still has a pay check coming every week. Total rubbish though that he's saying here. Massive boot licking and brown nosing.

(1st off I can care less normally how many ppvs a fighter sells as long as he challenges himself regularly vs evenly matched fighters & Canelo has consistently challenged himself more than any fighter in boxing from a very young age, thats why even when he fought weak(still better than gggs competition) opponents he still sells the most in boxing.)

Canelos broadcasts were the biggest non mayweather fights on the network when hes fought countless dangerous opponents since he fought Kirkland(a great action packed fight),when he fought Kahn he still did 600k ppvs, smith still did twice gggs best ppv total ffs & Smith was Wbo champ & according to gggstans & Ggg himself the belts are all that matter,& Chavez jr still sold more ppv than ggg vs canelo 1 & 2.

Theres a reason why Canelo was the only smart piece of business Hbo has done in the last 5 years,& its because hes the biggest draw in boxing. Ggg actually lost them money & its because

Canelo has the best resume by far in boxing atm & is multiple weight champ,& that instantly towers over gggs mediocre body of work(for a supposed unified champ whos 35 & has held belts for ages only fighting easy pickings )as a professional.

your level of fan love for canelo is blinding you from the truth. One, we all know that Canelo had better competition and that's because nobody ducked or feared Canelo. Mayweather, cotto, Sergio martinez, and many more chose not to fight ggg. Another lie you posted is Canelo only did 400 k vs khan not 600 (Oscar got caught lying.. Shocker) , he took 2 yrs to fight ggg and fought 3 no hope scrubs during that time. his only decent opponents since getting shut out by mayweather 5byrs ago were old little cotto, lara and finally ggg (who btw gave Canelo his best ppv buy rate twice outside of the floyd fight). You trying to put blame on ggg for hbos downfall is ******ed. But ******ity is to be expected from you inbred Canelo fans.

F#ck Lampley. And if this comment doesn't show what I've always said, that Lampley isn't even a legit boxing guy he's just a mfer with a great memory, idk what would.
