Is BigPoppaPump an actual boxing journalist?

Yeah, if no Chavez Jr then probably just the Eubank fight in the UK. I mean it is an easier fight than Uzcategui and more money so not mad at him dropping his belt. Lets be real, the man is barely able to get by guys like Caleb Traux now. The beating he took late in the Jack fight and than the shoulder injury killed whatever was left in his career.

Why? Do you actually think at this point in his career he would have beaten Uzcategui? Guy has fought since May of 2015:

        Dirrell
        Bute
        Medina
        Jack
        Truax (2x)

In each of those fights he has been touched up quite a bit and took a flat out beating late vs Jack. And he's battled through hand/shoulder injuries. He would be a sacrificial lamb if he fought Uzcategui. It makes more sense for him to drop the belt and fight someone like Eubank or Groves in a domestic fight that would give him a nice pay day before he calls it quits.

We're giving out Exemptions for Cherry Picking Now?

Sounds like he should RETIRE if he no longer can compete with the very best in his Division and instead have to look to Eubank or George Groves who just got stopped by Callum Smith

Exemptions? Nah, just the reality of the situation. If Degale was still at his peak and pulled this move? Obviously a duck. But now that he is a worn out fighter who is FAR from his best? Yes, he gets a pass here.

And I think the plan is to retire soon. Hence, getting a big domestic fight vs Eubank and/or Groves.

I have no idea tbh. But youd have thought hed have a direct line to the truth. The quote from the thread was along the lines of "several journalists have reached out to PBC to find out if Chavez Jr is chief support, and have been told its typical nonsense from Sr". Guy said why should I believe you, BPP replied the site is owned by CBS.

I've lost interest in him since he gave his belt away for nothing.

Don’t have an issue with a soft touch for Degale before he cashes out. Man has taken a pasting in recent years even in fights he’s won.

Dude has taken the hard fights though and hasn't improved his position one bit. He's OK in the Haymon world of this fights worth $3mil lets give them half each. In the UK where the division is thriving he'll get taken to the cleaners in the division by Groves/Eubank jr/Smith who arguably haven't been in bigger fights than he has.

Got it, though not sure what this site being owned by CBS means exactly. Unless they got a direct source to Espinoza, which is possible. That's why I asked if he is a boxing journalist or not.
