Sure, except Ali had knock out power, and big George had bad stamina. Fury has no power, Wilder has incredible stamina. So maybe if you squint, but no, not even close to being the same. Ali knew he had to knock out Forman to win that fight, and Ali knew the only way to do it was to use Forman's stamina or lack there of, against him.

Wilder actually sounds like he believes the Bronze Bomber is a separate personality that he turns into at will.... Has he seen the movie Split by any chance? Either he is talking crap to make excuses for certain past comments he has made ("Bronze Bomber needs a body on his record"), or he is genuinely mentally ill. However he has just summed up the entire build up to the fight in one sentence, so do we really need the weeks of media circus? Anyone who has even a shred of boxing knowledge knows that Fury will dance around for 12 rounds trying to pot-shot enough to win on points, and Wilder will stalk him constantly looking for 1 big shot to end it early. The fight can't follow any other pattern as neither man can fight successfully any other way; the result depends on however much Fury has left to offer. Narrative done.

Hearn doesn't have power of Attorney over AJ, that would be illegal according to the Ali act, and AJ would not be able to fight for any sanctioned belt or sanctioned opponent for that matter. Because Hearn stands to profit off AJ as a promoter, he can not make decisions for AJ, it is a conflict of interest that makes Hearn both promoter and manager, which is illegal, and as I said, Hearns fighters would never be allowed to fight in a sanctioned event.

So lets get a few FACTS out of the way. All of Boxings sanctioning bodies follow MABRA, all sanctioning bodies have to provide information to the federal government, that information includes the criteria for which their rankings are based among other things. So before you go and say "that doesn't apply to AJ because he doesn't fight in the US", understand that the sanctioning bodies have to follow the rules, whether the fight occurs abroad or not, if it is to be a legally sanctioned fight. Getting that out the way, in order for a fight to be sanctioned, Hearn must provide the sanctioning body a copy of the agreement in writing with any boxer he was a party too. So as we established Hearn does not have power of attorney over AJ, and in order for the fight to be recognized and sanctioned, AJ would have had to actually sign the contract.

Agreed,... most likely Wilder is just "promoting" and realizes he has to "box" to create those KO openings and might possibly have to settle for a points victory - he did a fantastic job against Bermane when Bermane was a serious contender.....Fury is more crafty though and TALLer - and isnt a joke even though he acts like one ....Wilders no dumb dumb either...
