Comments Thread For: Amir Khan's Return Looking More Likely For February 2019

Former world champion Amir Khan (33-4, 20 KOs) is looking very likely to sit out for the remainder of 2018. According to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, Khan's next fight is being steered to a date in February of 2019. Khan's career appeared to be on the ropes when he moved up to a catch-weight of 155-pounds in May of 2016, and challenged then WBC middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in what was the first ever boxing event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

I hope Khan doesn't fight again but if he does he should rematch Vargas as he looked completely and thoroughly shot against this nobody. This time I would have Vargas to stop him as Khan was lucky last time in the fact that he was twice saved by the bell.

He wants NO part of Brook and you can tell Hearn is getting annoyed with him

Funny Khan. Hes only drop the big names after hes already sign to fight the cab drivers. As much as I despise Brooks payday begging, it's quite obvious what Khan is doing. Another cab driver in Feb and try to get the Pacquiao payday and then another cab driver. I believe he ll fight Brook but probably as his last fight in the sport. The loss won't do much to his career at that point

Why da Hell did he sign with Hearn anyways? I thought he signed for 3 fights, with one of those fights having to be against Brook.

                Yep, knows he'll be stopped.

Khan has his eyes set on Pacquaio. Less risk, more reward.

The only reason I want Floyd to rematch Manny is to keep Con away from any payday, hanging around ...again like a spare prick at a wedding the kid is a complete disgrace. His last 'fight' was against a nobody and he looked terrible even by his own chinny standards but he carries on like he looked great and he is something. The kid is a nothing other than a leech off the sport. Can't wait for this idiot to get back under his rock
