Duran's best wins, with some context:

    1. Sugar Ray leonard - went up from lightweight to beat one of the greatest welterweights ever
    2. Iran Barkley - at 37 beat a giant middleweight
    3. Ken Buchanan - after beating Buchanan would go on to be undefeated at lightweight for 6 years
    4. Davey Moore - Moore was a 5-2 favorite
    5. Esteban Dejesus x2 - Avenged his first career loss
    6. Pipino Cuevas - former WW champ
    7. Carlos Palomino - former WW champ

Duran has the better wins. Only thing Floyd has over him is being undefeated.
People don't realize how good Buchanan was.

Lmao when they don’t have anything educated to say they start coming up with CORNY excuses. Your comment was corny and didn’t even make sense.

That’s true but it does diminish your spot amongst all times greats. You can’t lose and expect to stay in the same spot because you beat Ray Leonard 4 years ago lol. Boxing doesn’t work that way. For example Canelo is p4p on some people list if Canelo loses two fights in a row do you think he’s going to stay atop the p4p list just because he fought tough competition and beat GGG? NO!

            Duran's wins over:

            Cuevas
            De Jesus x2
            Palomino
            Buchanan
            Moore
            Barkley
            Leonard

Far outweigh any wins by Fraud. Floyd never beat an elite at their best. Always caught them on the way down, on the way up, or after suffering battle fatigue. Or they were just over-hyped opponents for the casuals to boast about. Not to mention, a prime Duran from 135-147 boxes the ears off Floyd on his best night.

Duran’s resume is far better. I think the Hagler loss is just about as impressive as anything Floyd did on any night.

I’m cool with casuals but not when they try to come off as some sort of authority when it’s clear you don’t know what your talking about.
Don't forget, the Hagler loss was due to Duran fighting one-handed for most of that fight. He injured his hand on Hagler's forehead in the 5th round of a 15 round fight. In fact, by the end of the 13th, Duran was actually ahead on two of the scorecards, so he likely gets a win over Hagler if that is a 12 round fight.

Meanwhile, I still contend that Floyd lost to Castillo I, DLH and Maidana I.

People far overrate the "0" in a boxers record.

People also like to use **** stats like compubox and judge score cards and appeals to authority to push their bias.

                I mean come on now.

There are definitely a couple fights that were gifted to Mayweather and they weren't even against good competition. They want to claim that all is good and there must not be a thing as corruption or shady judging because their favorite boxer won. If it dont fit their agenda at the moment it dont count and you cant change their mind.

Sad that boxer fans ruin the sport for boxing fans.

I cant say claim for a fact that Duran is better than Mayweather but I think he is in my opinion. Duran is a better maidaina and floyd lost that fight. That's the kind of style you want to use when you fight floyd. Duran unlike floyd fought the very best competition in his era all in their primes and even though he didnt win those fights he proved he belonged among those men. You could easily rate them:

                Leonard
                Hagglar
                Hearns
                Duran

                In this order.

                What did floyd do?

Fought big names when they were old and washed out. I mean, could you even call pac vs floyd a boxing match? He literally ran the whole fight because he knew based off his name alone he'd win. (Not to mention HE promoted the fight)

And then these people claiming old boxers arent as good and current because of era and their nostalgia. Please. Floyd did have good defense but it wasnt even that good. He got hit plenty in his fights. But what does the casual do? Pull up some **** compubox numbers that dont even reflect what happened in the round. Who's the one with the nostalgia problem?

You guys do know that compubox isnt even legit right? It's literally some dudes hitting buttons from a fixed angle. The best way to judge boxing right? Yet you believe it to a tee! Ridiculous.

The fact is floyd took the easy way. He handpicked his opponents when he felt comfortable that he could beat them. Why do you think he calls himself Money? Easy. Cuz it's too easy to exploited dumb ass boxer fans.

How many of you gonna buy that trash ass PPV if it happens? May v Pac 2? More like another **** show. Pac is shot. Mayweather is old.

Did Mayweather look good against McGregor? Who btw is a ****ing scrub? UFC champ sure, but boxing isnt MMA. He might as well fought a tomato can because it would have put up more resistance.

Yet it's still funny too. Because these exact people are the same people who talked **** about GGG fighting on may 5th agaisnt Mirytosian instead of "a mandatory".

If Mayweather was so good and legendary and the GOAT he should have fought the best at the time, but nah, he just fought trash.

Come on now. Boxing is big drama show.

Floyd never quit, that puts him above quit Duran by default.

He avoided fights until he knew he would win vs Duran who took huge risks jumping from lightweight to WW to fight SR****ingL. You see, he actually fought 3 of the greatest WW/MW's to ever fight...and was the naturally smallest guy by quite a bit. Sorry but being a better businessman and playing the modern game doesn't make him a greater boxer, just makes him more successful.

Yes but Duran quit because he was weak mentally, not because he was smaller.
