Easier you say? Gabe Rosado and Mike Lee were rumoured come back opponents for him just a few months ago.

“Julio Caesar Chavez” is still enough of a name to bring in casuals, especially Mexican casuals. And the die hard fans (especially the Mexican ones) will tune in to watch him get his ass kicked lol

LOL who the f#ck do you throw Chavez Jr in with as the co-main???

This sounds like it'll be a bs fight that shouldn't be a co-main (which I guess is better than that horrendous fight that was rumored with Sergio that was supposed to be a main event) or Chavez Jr getting his sh^t pushed in vs a legit dude.

Kinda hope its Badou Jack, but I feel like because Jack is with Mayweather & not Haymon so its unlikely he'd get such high billing. And Jack might be getting saved for a Mayweather PPV anyway if this Mayweather comeback sh^t is legit.

Benavidez gots his coke issue still up in the air doesn't he? If he can fight I wouldn't be surprised if he's the fight.

Or Marcus Browne could be getting an opportunity to bump up his Q rating too. That might be the sleeper fight to be made vs Chavez Jr here.

If its any of the 3 above guys Junior is gonna have a bad night.

Apparently he wants a tune up before he fights Martinez. Safe to say if true itll be a pathetic opponent he'll be fighting

How can he be co-main for a big fight like that? I doubt it.

As a PPV co-main doe? I would hope PBC would wanna put at minimum a name guy in there with him in the co-main if they are gonna try to milk the Mexican audience.

I feel like you gotta get a Peter Quillin or someone with a name. I mean Sergio is garbage now, but he is a name so there is always that angle with selling that fight.

And this is Chavez. Is there really such a thing as a tune up?

That Mexican audience is something they are often chasing with PPV's. I could see that being the logic here.

Don't know how good it'll work doe. I think Chavez Jr isn't exactly beloved or a fan favorite or taken very seriously by many Mexican boxing fans these days. Maybe a lot of casual Mexican fans will still jump on it idk.

Selling a boxing PPV with (a) Tyson as a heavyweight headliner and Julio Cesar Chavez also on the same card should be a piece of cake.
