Haney ain't on Loma or Mikeys radar lol.
This like Spence calling out Thurman back in 2014-2015 lol.
If someone calls you out I think putting them in check isn't crazy specifically in this SM era where memes can make you or break you. Thats what I meant by calling him out not call him out to fight.
I hope Loma & Mikey call him out on twitter or IG this week lol. Cuz they ARE the champs at 135. Mikey gots two belts. Loma is almost assured of having two belts after the Pedraza fight in December so thats who Haney is saying he's ready for.
I feel like he'll walk back his comments sooner or later &/or he's just making hype right now cuz those are two fights I don't see the point in right now or hell in the next 12 months. Time is on Haney's side & while I think he could beat a guy as highly considered a guy as Easter his next time out, based on what I've seen of him so far (& honestly just in these last 2 fights, cuz the first 18 guys were garbage), I don't see the upside of having your reach exceed your grasp so soon into your career.
Haney fights Mexican style.
And what I consider Mexican style is turning pro early and padding your record in Mexico.
I think this kid will be way better than AB and Mayweather. The kid is great!
AB ain't all THAT. I mean if you wanna hype his belts okay, but no one talks about who he beat for those belts only that he's got a bunch of belts which says a lot. Not to say AB sucks or is a bum, but I feel AB is more overrated than great at this point in his trajectory.
And saying he'll be bigger than Floyd is a big ask at this point. He's only had 2 real fights. And with how good he's done vs those guys one might not even consider those real fights yet. There is that sh^t like Atlas was talking about with Tyson on JRE last week in that you aren't really in a fight til you're getting resistance.
I'm always curious what promising prospects & guys who've been having sh^t go there way or are just too good for their own good at some point in time look like when they get into a competitive fight with real resistance & for Haney thats a super open question still.

To see if he's ready for prime time, his next 4 fights a for next year should be:
Tony Luis
Edner Cherry
Hank Lundy
Javier Fortuna
Title shot in 2020 if he pases those test.
He doesn't need to fight all four of those guys, but that's basically the level he should be looking to fight at for his next couple fights.
Need to sit and watch the fight, but the fact that his power doesn't seem to be showing at this level of opposition should give his camp pause with how aggressive they want to move him.
Mikey Garcia and Vasyl Lomachenko are basically on a collision course to fight before Summer 2019 (Mikey handles his mandatory, Lomachenko handles Pedraza, and you hope that ESPN pushes on Arum to make the fight), Lomachenko has basically topped out at 135lbs (with Mikey potentially being able to be a small 147).
Lomachenko, Richard Commey, Easter Jr, Luke Campbell, Gervonta Davis, Berchelt, Machado and others will all be positioning for title shots at 135lbs in 2020 too

I often wonder what Broner’s resume would look like if there were only three belts
