Best clinch all time in boxing?

Wlad is up there. Holyfield probably, too. Anyone else have a strong clinch?

Andre ward was a master of clinching. He was able to suck the boxing element out of any fight.

Muhammad Ali in the 70's was the clinch and headlock master. people that think Wlad is the worst haven't seen Ali fight. watch the 2nd Frazier fight.

Except Ali's clinches didn't kill fights though. It was always done after he'd land some beautiful jabs and usually against the ropes....or he'd break the clinch and sneak in a quick succession of amazing lefts which made it tolerable to watch. Holyfield, Wlad clinches were draining to watch and ugly.

Wlad had the most effective "hold" clinch. I hated it but he was masterful at it.

Ward had possibly the best tactical clinch, where he wasn't stalling the action but actually fighting in the clinch.

Ricky Hatton clinched and rammed his head into his opponents face. Floyd Mayweather Jr didn’t allow him to do this though by using his forearm to block the head butting.

It is probably some journeyman who has to avoid being stopped to stop him fighting

Floyd was a master of it when he had to use it.
