Many people are saying that Gatti vs. Baldo is going to be a great fight. I see it as an easy victory for Gatti. Gatti (even though he's washed up) has better talent and more power than Baldo.

Gatti is far from "washed up"

Hes not in his prime any-more, but that doesnt make him washed up. Hes still got a few more great fights in him.

And even when he is washed up, i think he'll still have a lot of heart for the game, so we'll still get plenty of excitement from his fights

I bet it turns out to be a dissapointment. Very rarely to "super fights" live up the their expectations.

Their are obvious exceptions (gatti-ward, corrales-castillo, morales-barrera) but i dont see it. hopefully it'll happen.

How come i havent heard much from these guys in a looong time?

Darchinyan fought a couple of weeks ago IIRC. Arce fought on the PBF vs Zab undercard also IIRC.

There styles make it hard to picture a boring fight. The are both punchers with good chins and are both usually the aggressors in fights.

Its kind of like imagining a boring fight between Hatton vs Cotto. Styles make fights and I think Arce vs Darchinyan have styles that would combine to make a very exciting fight.

But your right sometimes super fights disappoint.

Arce is definitely the better boxer technically, but his power doesn't come close to that of Darchinyan.

Arce will outbox VIC up to round 7 or 8 and probably be ahead on points, but VIC will connect with a vicious left and drop Arce like he has never been dropped before.
