Callum Smith has been underrated and overlooked for the last couple of years. I can see him unifying the super middleweight division before moving up and doing the same there

Groves shouldn't retire. Just because you lose doesn't mean you can't still earn a living in boxing. He can be a tune up fight for a champion and he's a good journeyman to test against a up and coming prospect or a contender. It's not over unless he continues to get his @$$ placed on the canvas every fight out.

Eh. Super disappointed in Groves losing here. I've been really impressed with him during the WBSS & been very unimpressed with Smith during the WBSS (& I was legit expecting Braehmer to upset Smith til he fell ill at the last minute) so this W by Smith & L by Grove surprised me quite a bit.

But yea maybe Groves should retire if he can't beat a cat like Smith. He's surely made some nice money now.

And I feel like Smith is gonna L to all the top 168. Jose U would f#ck up his day bad. Benavidez gonna nearly kill the dude. And Ramirez would outbox the sh^t outta him. Eh. If it turns out I'm underrating Smith here when we are a year or two down the line respect to Smith, but I just feel like he's a pretty garbage world class guy & I see a lot of L's in his future to his world class peers.

Groves doesn't need to retire, he got caught with a good left hook and then the body shot in the onslaught.

When a boxer of a certain age or one that has lost before loses, why does everyone talk about retirement?

he lost to a bigger guy in Callum Smith who is about 4-5 inches taller and 6 inch reach advantage, and he was still out jabbing him for large parts of the fight.

Groves can still come back in big fights!

Why would he retire? He's only 30 years old. Callum Smith is obviously a very good fighter, no shame in losing to him. Seems like everybody likes to **** on a fighter after they take an L.

wouldn't surprise me if he retires, despite what he said. He's made good money in his career and unless he's in love with boxing, i don't see him continuing. The DeGale rematch was seen as the money fight for both but i think that ship has sailed too. The fight would do ok, but not that great anymore

WTF dude, Callum Smith has been left on the peripheries of the world title scene by numerous champions over the last few years. Plus he destroyed another current champion inside a round (Rocky from stocky). He finally got his chance, proved himself and is going to clean up the division if the other guys don’t duck him
