I think the rights have always been carried by super channel as they had the cruiserweight final.

Makes more sense now, I guess DAZN weren't all out in boxing at the point season one came out and the Canadian rights had already gone out

yeah, from what I'm reading online it looks like they'll have it starting season 2, and the customer support person I spoke to this morning likely didn't know, and made the wrong guess.
