i've no idea how it'll go but i'm leaning towards the same opinion as you.

Also, i think for a guy with such a big height/reach advantage over his opponents, i think Smith doesn't really have a great jab. i saw Skoglund getting past his jab easily and landing clean shots on him. You would think at that size, he would've developed his jab into a real weapon.

The thing with Groves is that you can't give him opportunities. if you throw lazy jabs that are easy to counter or don't throw punches with conviction, he has the power to time you and hurt you.

i don't know what level Smith can operate at, but you would have to say he needs a big improvement on his last two fights. Groves is a solid world level fighter and you won't beat him unless you are.

Agreed with everything you stated, but how wrong was I though? Callum looked so composed in there and Groves looked anxious and never looked relaxed in there, looks like I’m eating humble Pie now bro.

Yeah, smith fought a very good fight. i didn't think Groves looked as sharp as usual but some credit should go to Callum for that anyway.

Anyway, he showed he can operate at a high level. Everyone has to prove it at some point and he did, so fair play to him. He fought a near perfect fight and a big improvement on his last couple, which he had to.

That's boxing. some people that have forgotten more than we know picked Groves too and the bookies had him favourite had him favourite at the start of the tournament but not before the final.
