Being British, a Fury win would be welcome but my head tells me, it’s only a matter of time until Wilder lands a signature windmill on him or he loads something up behind a jab.

Considering the Cunningham knockdown, I’d expect Fury to over reach and Wilder to magically swing something completely off balance and connect.

Yeah I'm a big fury fan and hope he pulls it off but I can't see him being sharp enough at this point. He's abused his body too much

Just wanted to know what everyone is thinking about the fight, now that is has been fully announced, and what approach the fighters will adopt considering the (relative) magnitude of the fight?

Will we see a new style from Deontay Wilder? Someone taking a more cautious approach considering Fury's elusiveness? Could it go the distance?

Lets try not to bring the other champ and his promotor into this. It starts arguments.

What do you mean cautious approach? Wilder is always cautious, both Fury and Wilder are passive back foot fighters so first half of the fight will be boring. It will get exciting once Wilder realise he's losing on cards and actually will go for the knockout. Both guys will fight the way they always fight, Wilder will try to jab, Fury will try to jab and make it ugly show. Once they open up Wilder will take KO unless Fury makes it so ugly that Wilder will sleep all night and not take any chances.

Regarding both fighters:

Wilder scares the sht out of his opponents and almost kills them when he hit them on the button.
He's pretty fast for a big man.
He's not really fundamentally sound, not really a good technician, yet not a bad one, he's unique and hard to figure out.

Fury looks somehow partially/mentally shot but he's a better boxer by miles and we're still talking about boxing.

A more cautious approach. It’s well documented that he commits when he thinks he has the man on the ropes, I know that usually the case with the so-called ‘bums’ that he’s fought but Fury is a new level even if by name alone.

I think Fury will dominate early a cautious Wilder then fade because he can't keep up 36 intense minutes anymore IMO, then Wilder will catch him and stop him.

What I also think is Fury has a decent shot of stopping Wilder when he dominates early.
I think because of his size and reflexes, how he fights tall, Wilder never really got hit very clean with short strong clean punches.

Fury with his size, speed and skills can land clean bombs on Wilder and I think Wilder is chinny.

I’d like to see the odds on a 1st or 2nd round Wilder KO! In the UK, you could make some good coin

Fury would obviously want to use his jab and tie Wilder up at every opportunity, He would probably need to close Wilder up so that he doesn't get leverage on his long, wild right hand. Wilder would probably need space, a lot of space to be able to do damage to Fury. I think stamina/Endurance would be key in this fight because Fury is going to need every bit of it. This is championship level, he would be in there with someone who would be throwing a lot from different angles, i see Wilder taking him out around the 9/10th round. Just as Fury becomes more tired.

Most likely a late stoppage from the bomber,
but I think Fury will make him look like a slouch at some point, there is something uncoordinated and weird about Wilder, he struggled to box guys like Duhaupas and Washington so a taller dancer like Fury might embarrass him.

There is something weird about this fight, Fury is all wrong for Wilder, he's taller and Wilder can't fight on the front foot he falls with his punches, Fury will snipe him in that position.

Fury might go southpaw, that would make the fight interesting.
